  • What ingredients can reduce irritation ?

    Posted by Dtdang on July 5, 2022 at 5:22 pm

    I have dark spots remover cream that works well.
    at the first week, there is no irritation at all.
    the face was glowing and even skin tone. At second week, there is little irritation that lasts around 2 seconds. I am looking for ingredients to stop this irritation.
    Anyone have experienced on this issue. Please help.

     I appreciate all answers .

    If you could supply your formula that would be helpful.

    You can add Allantoin, Bisabolol, …

    If the irritation is just during the first few seconds, it might be pH or osmolarity related. No ‘classical anti-irritation ingredient’ will help here, not even polidocanol or lidocaine because they all don’t act fast enough.

    Does it have glycolic or lactic acid?

    @Pharma which pH will cause irritation?
    High or low?

    And what osmolality? I couldn’t get a good idea from Google search.

    @Dtdang

    What ingredients are in your cream?  Not really possible to advise you without an idea of what may be causing the irritation/sensitization.

    To me, the theory is all wrong… you don’t try and ‘cover up’ irritants with soothers…. You remove the irritant.  Take your suspects and apply them neat…for as many days as it takes to develop irritation.  Then once you have found the irritant, replace it with something that does not.

    I use ‘soothers’ all the time…but NOT to counteract irritants.  In my simple mind, that is a little counterintuitive. :)

    To get rid of this irritation, you can use vitamin-rich food items like papaya, and avocado. Then, getting a sufficient amount of sleep is a  must. You can try it yourself at home. Thanks.
