I purchased some Varisoft EQ65 to compare to btms50. However I wanted to know if there is any reason why the two couldn’t be combined in a conditioner.I have ethnic hair and read that varisoft has good wet combing properties. I was looking to use it as a substitute for cetrimonium chloride in a conditioner I make. Thanks for your help. Also I am open to suggestions for ingredients for detangling that are not silicones.

Being both cationic they’re likely chemically compatible.
Only experimentation can tell if too much cationics can lead to build up. I personally believe buildup is a myth and never experienced anything resembling that.
