    Hi chemists
My brother and I making homebrew unorthodox water based (uwb) pomade, we have some problems, help us please
    this is our ingredients :

    aqua 30%
    beeswax 10%
    soywax 10%
    shae butter 30%
    castor oil 5%
    emulsifying wax NF 7%
    peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil 4%
    preservatives 1%
    fragrances 3%

the pomade comes out quite soft and easy to scoop, but sometimes when you rub it in your hand its not smooth (I feel like it can drop a little bit from your hand). And the hold is not good too.

I once add 5% beeswax and use less 5% of butter, the hold is better (firm/heavy hold) but once again, when I rub it in my hand its really loose and not smooth (but still soft)

when I use 5% of candelilla wax instead of 10% soywax (and add 5% to butter), the pomade becomes more soft and smooth, easy to rub in hand, but the hold is not good too…

how can I improve the hold and still keep the pomade soft and smooth, easy to rub ? thanks

Including PVP (1%) would help the hold.
