    Sir i m trying to make clear face wash with these ingredients:
    Carbopol 940.    0.2%
    SLS.     2%
    SLES.     10%
    CAPB.   2%
    CDEA.  2%
    Nacl.      1.5%
    Menthol    0.1%
    Camphor.   0.1%
    Water to make 100
    Sir i have problem of clarity. My face wash is not become transparent and not give me enough cooling effect and also give eyes irritation plz tell me what wrong with my formula i m so worried about it.

    Where’s your preservative?

    You don’t need the carbopol if you’re using salt, and that much salt will inactivate the carbopol anyway.

    the camphor and menthol are best dissolved in an alcohol and that + the carbopol are probably creating your lack of clarity. 

    The eye irritation is also probably due to the menthol and your surfactant choice.  That’s about all I can speak to but hope it helps

    I am using phenoxy ethanol as a preservative.
    And how can i reduce irritation of menthol plz guide me

    @UsmanAli:

    If you want a cooling effect, try using Menthyl Lactate.  But, the question is:  Why do you want to put Menthol in a face wash?
