    Hi Genius chemists here

I am making simple basic lotion for myself. i am also adding 5% titanium dioxide and 5% zinc oxide just to use this lotion as moisturizer and sun block at the same time
My question is 5% titanium and zinc is ok to use as sunblock or should i increase the percentage
My formula is really simple as follows:
    Distilled water
    Glycrin
    EDTA (as chelator)
    Sunflower oil
    Emulsifying wax
    Titanium dioxide
    Zinc oxide
Preservative (will be using phenoxyethanol or phenonip or optiphun) plz suggest which one is best to use in this simple formulation.

Please do not attempt to make your own sunscreen/sunblock. These products are regulated as drugs in many countries for good reason.
Here is a good summary of why it is not a good idea
