Tie Laundry Pod Technology
Does anyone know the science behind the dishwashing pods and laundry pods? I know they use PVA film to encapsulate the detergent and certain ingredients that are compatible with the film. There is about 10% of water in the formulation according to the patent, but the pods are water-soluble. In addition, most ingredients out there are either already being diluted or they wouldn’t be compatible with the film (due to the polar nature of the film). I’m trying to understand this for one of my class project! Please help! Thanks!!!

Read the patents. Best source of information possible. Pay particular attention to the example formulations, don’t spend too much time on the claims.
