thymol antimicrobial?
So has anyone used thymol as an antimicrobial for odor killing applications??? I would like to know the MBC, since the smell is so strong I want to use the least amount… I looked up several articles and they all have different values ( right know im thinking about using 0.3% wt)
Im adding the thymol to an anhydrous stick btw, I dont know if this changes the amount required???
help please??

Make sure you are noting whether it is thyme oil or thymol when you read up on this. It is apparently extremely potent, as one company is marketing a disinfectant with 0.051% thymol.

Can you identify the product or company - is it in US?

@PhilGeis - I suspect they are referring to Seventh Generation; it is in the US and uses 0.05% thymol with claims of 99.99% bacterial & viral disinfection.

yeah I mean pure thymol crystals… oh ok, well I guess 0.3% in final product will do something hehe

I also found this cleaner, TDS says thymol conc is 0.23%
