I agree. Ugh.
The Internet has been a great invention but it’s had the side effect of making people who know very little feel like they are experts because they were able to Google a topic.The Dunning Kruger effect in action. -
I think that what bothers me most is that people have been encouraged to extend their irrational prejudice against pesticides on food to cosmetics/personal care items made from ingredients made or extracted from plant sources - sometimes several times removed.

You are right for the cosmetics but for foods i think their prejudice is not so irrational.
