Univar set this up in the Saafi Hotel down town and what a damn fine job they did! After the usual presentations by the raw materials reps, they gave us a buffet lunch and then we returned to find the conference room set up with a construction kit for each of us.
We split up into 4 teams of 5. Each of us assembled a product from a pre-weighed assortment of bottles, packages, etc. into appropriate phases in beakers, then used the overhead mixers on a central bench to mix them. I made a body cream that has 3 different UV absorbers. It’s pretty nice.
The amusing part is that each team had to invent a marketing concept, specify a retail price, and do a marketing presentation like on Shark Tank to the rest! My team presented the 5 products as a travel kit for $25 retail. Considering 3 of the products were in airless pump bottles this seemed a bit optimistic to me!

    phase A
Dow Corning ES5300 formulation aid 5% (emulsifier)
Xiameter PMX 200 silicone fluid 1cs  2.7% (trisiloxane)
Dow Corning 3901 Liquid Satin blend  5%
    Cetiol Sensoft  2%
Dow Corning FZ 3196  3% (caprylyl methicone)
Dow Corning FA 4003 DM 3% (silicone acrylate)
    Tinosorb M 3%  UV filter
    Z-Cote HP1 4%  zinc oxide in triethoxycaprilsilane
Uvinul MC 80 7%  UVB filter
    Cetiol V  3%
    Cetiol J600 2%
    fragrance 0.3%

    Phase B
    Water 53.5%
    Fitoxant C  1% (antioxidant)
    1,3 Butylene Glycol  5% humectant
    Biosure GE1  0.5% preservative

Mix phase A well, also phase B, then under constant agitation add B, slowly, to A. Cold process.
Appearance: A high gloss bright white thick liquid. Sensorials: heavy->light. Nice.
