Thank you All, I’m New. Liquid Soap, and so on…Help
First off I want to thank everyone who contributed to this thread which came up for me on google search.
This gave me hope. For years I have wanted to do liquid soap. I am a DIY type of person. I searched, and searched. Nothing but amateur baby soap makers making liquid soap in a crockpot.
In one single thread I gained everything I felt I needed to embark on this journey.
I have been in this industry for almost 9 years. Still I am no Chemist. I do everything Organic AND Raw. Yes we keep everything under 130 F. All ingredients are virgin, except palm oil which would turn everyones skin orange if we did not use refined, lol.
So. We want to make liquid soap, shampoo, facewash, ect.
I am not looking for handouts or recipes. I have read why people help others here and I am honored to be apart of this work.
I have a formula for Castile soap I absolutely love that I want to turn into Shampoo, and a body bar I want to make into hand and body wash. I only know Sodium Hydroxide, and even at that, at a basic level.
KOH is something I know 0 about. I have seen the above thread and am very confident that once I have my formula perfected I can easily do the rest.
I also do not want to use Citric Acid. I need to be as clean as possible. I use rosemary extract as a preservative.
IF, IF the community deems this post worthy of help and discussion I will post details of recipe, and so on. I hope for help. This forum is the best I have seen so far.

I’m sorry, but natural soap does not make an acceptable shampoo. It reacts with salts in the water to form insoluble scum that sticks to the hair and has to be removed by rinsing with vinegar.

Rosemary extract is usually used as an antioxidant to prevent oils and fats from going rancid. AFAIK, it is not used as a preservative.
A member on this list (Dr. Mike Thair), makes liquid soap with no preservative, he might chime in and give you more accurate advice. HTH
