  • Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate with peptides

    Hello All,

I wanted to know if anyone has used Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate with matrixyl 3000? I’ve read that matrixyl 3000 should not be used with all forms of vitamin C. However I have not read that on other sites. Has anyone had issues with these 2 together? Thank you in advance :)

It’s fine. Peptides can denature in low pH environments, therefore the “can’t mix peptides with Vitamin C” rule ONLY applies to Ascorbic Acid, the active, acidic form of Vitamin C. None of the derivatives are acidic. Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is oil soluble so it doesn’t even have a pH, technically.

Thank you Emma. I just wanted to make sure. Have a great weekend:)
