  • Swapping SLS 30% For SLES 70%

Can I swap out SLS 30% supplied at 30% for SLES 70% supplied at 13% in a body wash formula and get the exact results e.g pH and viscosity?
I don’t have any SLES 70% and I am wondering if I do get it if I have to change the formulation to suit it?

Should be fine it is only a concentration issue

Actually one is SLS and the other is  SLES. Will it still be fine?

There will be a difference between SLS and SLES.   Expect less foam from SLES

What about in terms of viscosity?

There’s an article that says that too much SLES has relatively low foam with small bubbles
too much SLS causes stringy flow
SLS:SLES 3:7 ratio seems to work better

You have to consider the technical aspect as well, such as time and temperature to dissolve SLES 70%.
