    Hi All,

I am formulating a facial scrub. The formula is given below. The issue is hours later after it was done, it becomes liquid, not gel anymore and the walnut shell powder I added in just sank to the bottom hours later. Anybody can advise what’s wrong with my formula ? Thank you !

    Water : 73.3%

    Decyl Glucoside: 3%

    AOS: 3%

    CAPB: 2%

Solagum AX: 1% ( I also tried using HEC but the walnut powder still sank to the bottom). The solagum AX is added after all is done and before I added the walnut powder)

    Glycerin: 7%

    Willowbark extract: 3%

    Fragrance: 0.2%

    Germall Plus: 0.5%

    Walnut powder: 7%

    1. Did you purchase from reputable manufacturer - Solagum from seppic or another place. Seppic does not allow resales of their products due to adulteration in the industry.

Gums are usually added at the start and before surfactants, so they have time and available water to hydrate.
