Substitute for Lithium magnesium sodium silicate
So Im working on a formulation that calls for Lithium magnesium
sodium silicate. I could only find it in the form of “hectorite gel” but when I add it to my oil phase the final product doesnt seem to have the hectorite completely homogenized and remains clumpy. Is there a different ingredient I could sub it out for? Preferably plant based if possible. I was thinking of using a mix of kaolin clay and tapioca starch. Thoughts? Thanks! -

Another optioin might me TKB thickening clay (Quaternium-90 Sepiolite, Quaternium-90 Montmorillonite) https://tkbtrading.com/products/tkbs-thickening-clayI personally haven’t used either of them, or hetorite gel so I can’t give personal experience but from what I’ve read it sounds promising.
