    Does anyone have any experience storing a diluted citric acid solution used for making pH adjustments? We tried a 30% diluted solution and noticed some contamination after a few weeks. I would think that with the low pH (1.20) there would be no environment for microorganisms. Thanks for any insight…

    Microbes is weird, so there’s no telling, but maybe it was mold?

    I have kept 30% solution in our lab for months  (5,6,8) and no visible growth
