Does anyone know how to add Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine in Shampoo instead of cationic guar without heating the whole batch to 75°c?

Shampoo is cold process and ingredients are as follow.

    SLES
    CAPB
    Lauryl Glucoside
    Coco Glucoside
    Decyl glucoside
    Sodium phytate
    Cationic guar
    Glyceryl oleate
    Benzyl alcohol and DHA
    Citric acid

I want to replace cationic guar that we use at %0.3 with Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine because of buildup on hair.

You can’t.  Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine is a cationic surfactant and you have to melt it to get it to disperse in water. It also isn’t a suitable substitute for catinoic guar.

@Perry  So what is a good replacement for cationic guar in thisSthis with no or minimum buildup?

Polyquaternium-10 or Polyquaternium-7 or use another version of Guar (e.g. Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride).

Guar is not an ingredient that normally causes problems of build-up.

Stearamidopropyl or alkylpropyl dimethylamine in general, are non-ionic surfactant in natural form. So if you use some acid and make your solution at PH<PKa of the protonated form of amine, you will have their protonated form, and the surfactant began ionic. In that form are very more soluble, and u don’t need to go at their melting point. Just warm up slightly.
