  • Source for cationic guar for clear solutions?

Posted by GeorgeBenson on November 28, 2022 at 9:21 am

Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that most cationic guar is incapable of being mixed into a formula without making that formula somewhat cloudy, EXCEPT the cationic guar types that are specifically made to work in clear systems, such as Ashland’s AquaCat CG518.

I am trying to use guar in a body wash/shampoo but I want it to remain clear. Does any one know a repacker that I could source this clear stuff from?

    Thanks.

I don’t know of any “repacker” offering guar HPTC besides UPI Chem but for low-cost/high quality guars of all types at commercial quantities I recommend Economy Polymers in Houston, Texas USA.

Clear cationic guar is 2 or 3 times more expensive that regular cationic guar. Keep that in mind.

    Thanks for the info.

the price is not a concern for me, i’d happily pay 2-3 times more if i could find somewhere to buy a small amount from.

You Can Try Dehyquat Guar TC- Designed For Transparent Clear System.
