  • Sorbitol………has it fallen out of vogue, or just my perception?

It seems like sorbitol checks all the right boxes as far as a humectant. I guess I am a little surprised I don’t come across it more often on inci’s.

Is this because of haptics? I have not used it…but was alerted to the fact it might leave a potential after feel?

Is this just efficiency? Letting little brother, and lower cost glycerin do all the work, and simplifying manufacturing?

Or have I missed an aspect?

Just curious why I don’t see this on inci’s as often as I’d expect.

To me Sorbitol is much stickier and more costly to buy than just Glycerin

It doesn’t provide any benefit over glycerin & it costs more.
