    1) Bibliography says that ceteareth-25 gives more viscosity then ceteareth_20, Making hair conditioner based on Cetearyl alcohol and Cetrimonium alcohol I make same formulation with same level just I changed ceteareth-20 to 25 so the result is in opposite with bibliography so hair conditioner with ceteareth-20 is more thick then with ceteareth-25 even colour is not same it is more opaque with Ceteareth-20.

    Is there any explanation?

    2) In ulprospector says

*Ratio of high HLB to total surfactant has a significant impact on viscosity and the conditioning properties. For optimum conditioning this ratio should be ~30%.

*Chain length of low and high HLB surfactants. The best low HLB surfactants are Cetyl, Stearyl, and Behenyl alcohols. The best high HLB cationic surfactants are Stearamidopropylamine (SAPDMA-neutralized), Behenyltrimonium Chloride (BTMAC). Combinations of SAPDMA and BTMAC are also used

So ulprospector supposed (cetyl and Stearyl alcohol are low hlb surfactants) I guess cetyl and Stearyl alcohol aren’t surfactants not?

Then who tried the the ratio 30% described? (I just tried ceteareth-20 and Gms SE and Ceteareth 20 give better viscosity)

    3) how much important to make emulsion with the required hlb?

Actually almost emulsifiers Self emulsion do the job whatever the hlb.

    4) How to have emulsion wich has texture soo creamy and smooth (without having a very fine points)
