  • Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate stays solid when in oil phase

    Hello,

I’ve been making creams with Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate (I’ve tried 0.25% to 1%) and I put it in the oil phase, but even after lots of heating (up to 95°C) and stirring - it still remains semi-solid and jelly like in texture, is this normal?

I’ve been adding the chunks along with the rest of the oil phase into the water phase and it still produces a cream without the chunks so I’m guessing it’s fine but I wanted to make sure.

    Thanks!
