  • SLES vs LABSA vs glucoside detergency power comparison as laundry detergent

Posted by Abdullah on January 1, 2023 at 6:12 am

This chart is about alkyl polyglycoside, SLES and LABSA detergency power as laundry detergent.

According to this chart SLES is a stronger laundry detergent than LABSA, even glucoside is stronger than LABSA as laundry detergent.

    My questions
Is SLES really a stronger laundry detergent than LABSA or it is my misunderstanding from this chart or this chart is incorrect?

@Abdullah If I’m reading correctly, what it shows is that each surfactant alone is only able to remove very few stains, while mixtures are better: the binary mixture SLES-APG removes more stains than SLES-LABSA…but there are some soils that are better removed by combining the 3 surfactants. Now, it’s a suppliers chart, so always be careful with those.

Yes. This chart is to show how effective APG is. But between SLES and LABSA, it shows SLES effective for much more stain types than LABSA.

This chart was not supposed to show how SLES effectiveness.
