  • Shipping ingredients….

I live in Hawaii….which is supposed to be the 50th state….but life is really different here!  Our world revolves around Amazon and USPS.  UPS and FedEx are a minimum of 2.5X more expensive to ship ingredients in on.

That being said…the floral industry has some crazy sweetheart deal with UPS and FedEx…where if your account is setup somehow through their organization…your prices are even lower than USPS.

Is anyone aware of a similar setup in the cosmetic industry?  I am having trouble getting some key ingredients because they will only ship UPS or FedEx…and the per pound shipping rates they have….make the ingredients impossibly expensive.  Any insight would be appreciated.

Note: Even though we are in the middle of the Pacific…UPS and FedEx…still offer ‘ground’ rates… (but opening pound is $55.00, compared to USPS at $5.00)

Needing to ship in some 20-25KG buckets of goodies.

    No….cheapest available.
But even when sent ‘ground’…the last leg is almost always by air. :)

I was wondering if you could ship them all to a shipping agent and have them send it via CAF (consolidated air freight) at that weight it should be viable.
