    Hi there!

I’d like to formulate a shampoo for coloured hair. I did a research on products available on the market and, from what I noticed, these shampoos consists on a gentle surfactant blend, conditioning agents (cationic polymers) and silicones. That being said, which silicone do you guys think is more appropriate for this type of shampoo. I was thinking about Amodimethicone at 1 - 2%. What do you guys think?

    Any advice is welcome 🙂

    Kind regards,

amodimethicone is supposed to be better for damaged (color-treated) hair, as it can bind to the damaged sites more effectively than uncharged silicones

Thank you for heads up! I really like the effect that amodimethicone has on conditioners and leave-ins systems, so I’ll definetly try it in this shampoo for coloured hair.
