SERUM ADVICE
Hello everyone,
I’m preparing to launch a face whitening serum designed to target dark spots. Although I have a degree in biochemistry, I’m not an expert in formulation, so a local manufacturer will handle the formulation and production. They’ve asked me to specify the active ingredients for the serum. I’m considering the following actives:
- Resorcinol derivatives: 4-Hexylresorcinol, or Phenylethyl Resorcinol, or 4-Butylresorcinol
- Alpha Arbutin
- Kojic Acid
- Azelaic Acid
- Tranexamic Acid
- Fermented Gallic Acid
- Zinc Glycinate
- vitamin C
Which of these actives, or a combination of them, or others would provide the most effective results in a shorter period? Additionally, how should I choose the most suitable ingredients? I read on this forum that not all studies can be relied on. I’ve been researching various whitening serums and checking ingredients in UL Prospector, but I’m still unsure how to make the best choice. I appreciate any insights or advice, even if my question isn’t entirely professional.
