    Dear all,

How do you design a sensory test for a face cream product? I’ve formulated a basic face cream, and would like to test the sensory feel of it with the objective of gathering information about product appearance, pick-up attributes, rub-out attributes, skinfeel and appearance. Is it enough to only have this basic face cream to be tested by panelists? Or do I need to include in controls? If controls are needed, what kind of controls would this be? Thanks so much for helping!

    hi

if you just need to generate general information about the formulation sensory-wise and you have access to a Traind Penal you don’t need a Controle or anything they will refer to the training materials and categories accordingly.

Out of interest, you could test the same formulation 2times to see if your Penal produces the same, or let say similar, results again 🙂

    Best wishes.

      Hi Gordof,

Thank you so much for the guidance! It’s a good idea to get them to test the same cream twice to see if we can get consistency too. 🙂

      Yours truly,

      Marianne
