    Hi,

I am formulating a solution containing DHA (13%), Propylene Glycol (3%), Glycerine (1%), Water (80%), Potassuim Sorbate, Polysorbate 20 + dyes.

At room temperature, no crystalisation. When I cool it (fridge item) it forms crystals. I assume the solution becomes oversaturated at lower temps.

    My question is:

If I increase the Propylene Glycol in the solution will it increase the saturation level of the solution and reduce crystal forming at lower temps?

The essence of cosmetic chemistry is experimentation. Why can’t you try it and see for yourself?

Alternatively, you should research what DHA is soluble in. That should give you a hint.
