Very high molecular weight of hyaluronic acid does not penetrate the Skin from topical usage.
Very low molecular weight cause inflammation from topical usage.
So what is the best MW range for topical usage that can penetrate the skin and does not cause inflammation?

What has convinced you that low molecular weight HA causes inflammation?

@Perry, I read a research paper that looked quite legitimate (at least it had citations and references) a while ago. According to that paper low weight sodium hyaluronate increased chances of scaring because it promoted inflammation. I don’t have an opinion about it because my knowledge of dermatology is limited and that paper was full of medical terms (explaining mechanism on cellular level). All I understood is that applying HA after using derma roller is a very bad idea. I will try to find it.

    Thank you both.
I am convinced not to go for hyaluronic acid.
Do you have any suggestion which one of these three humectants to use?

    Sodium Lactate
    Sodium PCA
    Glycerine
