Salt helps stabilizing w/o emulsion or thickening cationic o/w emulsion.

@zetein is correct on both counts. @Perry is correct when the emulsion is o/w though, or when acrylate rheology modifiers are used.

this is one of the best ways to understand if it’s o/w or w/o by looking at LOI. if you see salt somewhere around 1% line there’s a significant chance it’s w/o
