  Refined or unrefined oils for lipsticks

  Hi everyone
   Can you please tell me if it is possible to use unrefined oils when making lipsticks as they are cheaper? Or if it’s truly necessary to use the refined ones ?

  Also, should I use Silica or Silica dimethyl Silylate? Or what natural ingredient is a good substitute for silica or silica dimethyl silycate?

  Don’t look at the materials as in “what is the most ‘natural'” but rather, what provides the best function in the appropriate usage. I won’t go on too long but look at the distributers literature.
