Refatting agents in cleansers?
Emulsifying oil rinses have risen in popularity among the blog crowd for being less drying and easy to wash off, many use them in the winter months.
I’m wondering if adding a refatting agent to a gentle decyl glucoside cleanser base could have merit, you could even add lipids with antimicrobial properties. Thoughts?

If the function of a cleanser is to remove dirt and fatty materials from the skin then adding a refatting agent to the product will reduce its efficiency.

But fat’s could plausibly also help remove makeup, devil is in the details. Curious if anyone has experience with this concept and if it’s legit.

Would not mix up situation with makeup removal particularly around eyes.But we have made cleansing shower gels with superfatting oils which work fine depending upon your market audience.So do it and try a panel test.
