Hi, below is my shampoo powder formula or recipe and you have recommendation on whether to add , remove, reduce or increase the ingredient percentage. This is “everyday shampoo powder” which I only use mild surfactant and is for all hair types.

Instead of water with botanical extracts, I replace with botanical powder.
I dont like to add a lot of non comedogenic ingredients, nor I have machine to compress into solid shampoo. I think powder is milder than bar , which can be applied to hair directly without stripping hair´s strand, maybe.

10 grams moringa powder (Moringa Oleifera)
25 grams rice powder (pulverized the rice) (ORYZA SATIVA)
5 grams caffeine (white powder of caffeine, to promote hair growth)
    5 grams niacinamide
24 grams SCI sodium cocoyl isethionate
1 gram Sharomix 705 (Sharomix™ 705INCI: Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl alcohol)
    1 gram citric acid
2 grams solid glycerin (grated to make into fine powder)
1 gram menthol (will dissolve into glycerin first)
3 drops tea tree essencial oil

What is the purpose for adding Moringa powder, rice powder and niacinamide? What are these supposed to do for hair?

Have you investigated the safety of inhaling these ingredients?

    See ingredient reports from https://cir-safety.org

@Perry because moringa is very rich of vitamins and antioxidants, and personal choice because I love moringa (although could best apply as hair mask than in a shampoo, so for the claim). Since the surfactant is gentle, it should not dry hair or irritate the scalp leaving the shampoo 5 minutes. Rice powder (as I dont have rice starch) is to add texture. I will add maltodextrin and xanthan gum instead but not sure the recommended amount of these to avoid heavy feel after wash. Niacinamide to help cleanse the scalp, as it is commonly use for skin, I hope it will work for the scalp too. When it comes to the safety of inhaling, Im not sure on niacinamide. I can remove this and add citrus juice (to add shine) so it wont be very fine powder.

10 grams moringa powder (Moringa Oleifera)
    10 grams maltodextrin
1 gram xanthan gum (will dissolve first in glycerin)
10 grams potato starch (In my country, we use it to lighten skin pigment, will it damage colored hair?)
5 grams caffeine (white powder of caffeine, to promote hair growth)
24 grams SCI sodium cocoyl isethionate
1 gram Sharomix 705 (Sharomix™ 705INCI: Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl alcohol)
    6 gram citrus Juice
2 grams liquid glycerin (change to liquid so the shampoo is not very fine powder)
1 gram menthol (will dissolve into glycerin first)
3 drops tea tree essencial oil
