  I would like to formulate a product to address receding hairline due to excessive hair styling, specific to black hair care.

  Any suggestions on actives, key ingredients etc.

  You’ll need to be a little more specific. What are you hoping the product will do? What claims do you want to make?

  You will need to be careful with your claims. Any claims that it causes hair to grow or it proposes a physiological response would be disallowed. I have seen several lines get enforcement actions over this issue.

  Thanks, I guess I need to do some homework regarding the claims that can be made and work from there
