  • Question about labelling requirements

    Hello everyone,

After several months of product development, I am finally getting ready to start a haircare line. I’ve done some research on labelling requirements and read that the manufactuter/distributor’s information is required. Since I am just getting started, I wanted to continue making my products at home before committing to a contract manufacturer. So then, would I simply list my company’s name and address in lieu of a separate manufacturer/distributor? Please let me know thanks.

Yes, you would need to put your company on the label. With MoCRA (in the US) you can now put your electronic contact information: Company Name, Website URL, Contact e-mail

How will you grow your line by producing yourself? In my experience, that’s not a Business Model that will support the growth of your line.

I only plan to do this at home for 2-3 months, just want to be able to get some positive receptions first before committing to a contract manufacturer.
