  • Preservative for Facial Toner that is not cloudy

Hello! I am working on a toner and am wonder if anyone can recommend a preservative that will not cloud my toner! I tried potassium sorbate as well as phenoxyethnol but both cloud my toner. It is going in a clear glass container and I dont want the cloudiness. Any suggestions are appreciated

I forgot I forgot to add that the toner contained glycolic acid. When I added in the potassium sorbate it clouded up. Without it it’s fine. Any preservative that is glycolic friendly and wont make it cloud up?

Germaben II is perfect for clear products. I use it in acid toner with glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid (pH 3.2) and it’s crystal clear.

You are very welcome. It’s a great broad-spectrum preservative and it is useful for many types of formulas.
