    Hi,

      I made a new formulation Pha 4% toner  and I am thinking to use a ecocert preservative like leucidal sf complete.

    Water
    Glunocolactone 4%
    Propanediol 3%
    Solagum ax 2%
    Preservative
    Sodium phytate

    The target ph is 3.9

    Leucidal is not a very effective preservative.

    Yes I am aware. Still the ph is low and we have chelator.

    That means very little - it’s a poor preservative

    Since you are already adding a heavy dose of Gluconolactone, why don’t you use Gluconolactone (and) Sodium Benzoate which is also EcoCert

    Hi Mark
      we used Sodium Benzoate and Potasium Sorbate in the first formulation . I am wondering if adding just Sodium Benzoate will work (since we have gld already)

    Mark a second question , if you dont mind . I seen in your posts that you like gld as a chelator , do we need sodium phytate at this ph ?

    Sodium phytate is a good chelator.   Stay with it.

    @Cdsgames

    I mostly use Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, often combined with Gluconolactone (and) Sodium Benzoate
