Preservative does my formula needs?
Posted by Cdsgames on October 10, 2021 at 3:29 pmHi,
I made a new formulation Pha 4% toner and I am thinking to use a ecocert preservative like leucidal sf complete.
Water
Glunocolactone 4%
Propanediol 3%
Solagum ax 2%
Preservative
Sodium phytateThe target ph is 3.9

Yes I am aware. Still the ph is low and we have chelator.

Since you are already adding a heavy dose of Gluconolactone, why don’t you use Gluconolactone (and) Sodium Benzoate which is also EcoCert

Hi Markwe used Sodium Benzoate and Potasium Sorbate in the first formulation . I am wondering if adding just Sodium Benzoate will work (since we have gld already)
-
Mark a second question , if you dont mind . I seen in your posts that you like gld as a chelator , do we need sodium phytate at this ph ?

I mostly use Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, often combined with Gluconolactone (and) Sodium Benzoate
