Preservation system in a moisturising face cream
If desiring you avoid the use of potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate due to their very low pH requirements for satisfactory preservation efficacy, formaldehyde releasers and benzyl alcohol, can they be replaced by any of the following? I aim to pair phenoxyethanol with one or more other preservatives.
Hydroxyacetophenone, phenylethanol, sorbitan caprylate, glyceryl caprylate, caprylyl glycol, glyceryl laurate, dimethyl phenylbutanol, o-cymen-5-ol, 2-benzylheptanol, decylene glycol, tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, tropolone.
Any other other suggestions are welcome
