Could someone please tell me what would be an appropriate powder load for a liquid foundation? I just made an experimental one based on a patent and it had 0.04% colour oxides and 1.5% titanium dioxide. It didn’t really act as a concealer, the powder load seems far too light. More like a coloured skin cream.

IIRC and I am not sure what the standard is but we had fixed it to 14% including the talc as filler. Depending on the shade and product the talc was variable within that fixed 14% for liquid or tube foundation both. This is for normal o/w foundation, for water-proof based on Abils and other things it was different including the talc and pigments which were hydrophobically modified.
