  • Polytrap 6500 versus Fluid 1000

I have two products in which I use Polytrap 6500. One is a hand cream and the other is a hair conditioner.

While the results are good, it is a nuisance to use the Polytrap because (a) it is a powder that has to be dissolved in the nonpolar phase, and more importantly, (b) I have to import it from the USA.
The other day I was in a distributor buying some materials and I spotted a silicone liquid labelled “Fluid 1000” which I believe is this stuff:

My question is, how about replacing the Polytrap with the Fluid 1000? And in what % by comparison? I’m using 0.25% of Polytrap in 0.25% cyclopentasiloxane at present in the skin cream, and 0.5% / 0.5% in the hair conditioner.

How about Dry Flo PC, used it long time back in matte lipsticks and it did work great.

@Belassi I have used Silsoft SOHDR (Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Cetearyl Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer) from Momentive (previously GE Silicones) and it works great for that property which you want to have in the product. In fact I used in few products directly for matte look and in fact I saw it in one of the branded frosted bottle as a make up remover or some other product (can’t exactly remember).

You can check the below link also if that suits your region

I always appreciate recommends for ingredients. Unfortunately those two companies aren’t represented here.
