Please help, looked everywhere! grey/brown base to my eyeshadow when it’s blending?
I have a fully tested formula, as I had a long sample process to get to this stage. The formula itself is pictured, as is an example of what is happening
I have observed three main points:
1. On very dry areas of skin (hand) it seems to maintain true colour better than on oily areas of skin (oily eyelid).
2. When rubbed the colour deepens and gets more textured and grey.
3. It’s worse when pressed as opposed to loose. This is a huge issue for me as I was so pleased with the formula. Is there a common cause for this? Obvisouly I cannot have this happen when being blended etc. There was a palette released by a huge company and this happened. It killed them!
I am so close to my launch date and the lattes are ruining it. I thought I had the solid formula down as it’s already on the portal.
Process:
I am mixing with a spice grinder in 20g quantities, and pressing into wiped Tin pans with a 2tonne arbour press. It has been warmer here in the uk but I ensure it’s not a damp environment, though it is warm. Suggested EU GMP is followed.Am I not mixing enough? Do I try another colour with less pigments to mix? I have a pure black and a pure red to do but it’s such a waste of base ingredients.
Thank you for any time you can take!
