  • Ph Level Question

Hi. I had a quick conversation with a chemist friend about this. The discussion was about cleaning solutions to be between ph 7- 10. But if an acidic solution ph below 5 was diluted it eventually reached ph 7 level.

However, he still insisted that it should start at ph 7 undiluted. He wasn’t able to explain to me at a non-chemist level since he had to run somewhere else. Does it really matter that the solution starts at the intended ph level or dilution can correct the acidity if necessary?

Can anybody help explain further? Thank you!
