• PEG-90M

PEG-90M is known for the “stringing effect” in hair gels.

However, I have often noticed that in most of my formulations-
-even “standard” carbomer /PVP gels, this effect always seems to decline after a while, i.e the PEG-90M is not stable.
Any ideas how to prevent this?

@Bill_Toge I disperse it in glycerin or propylene glycol @0.1 - 0.4%, then add it slowly @ room temp. Most stabilty problems I had with “ringing” gels

    Hi David.
It is a bit late to answer your question but I´m new here and I have been trying to find PEG-90M because in my country don´t sell it. However, Lubrizol´s personnel told me that Glucam™ E-20 Humectant from 3% to 5% helps to improve the dispersion and gives a better sensory to the product and hair combinated with PEG-90M.

@Rick Sure  I know that product, it is good, but it does however  not solve the stability problem.
