  Is there a cosmetic grade pectin? OR is pectin just pectin that can be used for cosmetic products and food?

  It is not so much that there is cosmetic grade pectin and food grade pectin … there are different types of pectin that you need to process in different ways … some pectin require calcium to activate gelling, some does not.

  There are certain grades marketed for cosmetic use (see link), but Mark is generally right.

  So store bought pectin should be fine to use?
