  • PE9010 Still destabilizing emulsions, creating a chunky cream

After adding PE9010 to a lightly heated water phase and then incorporating the lipid portion of the formula, it became slightly chunky. I then added this to the urea while it was cooling down and became even more chunky.
Should I try mixing it tomorrow and then reheat it if the emulsion doesn’t conform?

Add the Euxyl PE9010 into the formula while cooling, after phases are combined and blended well. However, even then you may encounter the infamous “phenoxyethanol crash” that haunts us all.

I’ve been using it during the water heating phase but have tried it after the cream is combined too. I guess its a ghost in all of our closets.

Post the formula (at least the ingredients). There are preservatives that mess up whatever formula you add it to. PE9010 isn’t one of them. You might need to change something in the formula.
