Are you looking for opacifier or pearlizer ? You could use styrene/acrylate copolymer as an opacifier and a blend of Aqua, Glycol Distearate, Laureth-4, Cocamidopropyl Betaine as a pearlizer. Look at the range of Euperlan by Cognis.

A low level of Glycol Monostearate always worked for me.

There’s Euperlan (Cognis) and Antara (Ashland). I usually prepare my own blend of Aqua, Glycol Distearate, SLES, CAPB and Cocamide.

EGMS or EGMS-SE should do the trick.  Try 1%

    Hi

i’m looking for a reliable method to formulate a sulfate-free glycol distearate pearlizing base, i’ve tried laureth 4 and cocamidopropyl betaine but i can’t find the right formula and above all the right process.
