  • Oils for face without the gloss…

Posted by Graillotion on August 30, 2020 at 5:59 am

Without simply buying every low comedogenic oil out there, maybe you can save me some expense and time.  I am looking to create a reasonably natural facial (cream) moisturizer.  So I made a list of low comedogenic, quick absorbing, non greasy feeling oils.
The first one I purchased,   Abyssinian Oil, was all things promised…just left a super shiny gloss.

Anyone that is well acquainted with the facial oils…can you tell me which are the low comedogenic…and quick absorbing, with low gloss?

Thank you for your input, and saving me lots of time and money.

Typically I use an oil blend…so feel free to list several.

Raspberry is on my ‘buy’ list….any feedback?

Thank you.  I already use both in my other lotion…and had planned on bringing them forward in the face cream.  Really starting to like Babassu…and can’t beat the price either!  Squalane is the base oil for my (purchased) vitamin mix, so it only ever goes in at 1%.

Have you considered additives rather than changing your oil selection?

You mean like the emulsifier?  (Yes, Mont 202 on list to test)

Or fatty alcohol?  I have tried MM…but did not care for it.  Like C Esters better than C alcohol.

… What additive would take the gloss out of something like Abyssinian?
