Need help with Wig/Lace glue
Hello, I’m in the process of developing a wig/lace glue for a client. The benchmark they gave me only has “water and acrylates copolymer” as the INCI list. I’ve been trying out some starter formulas, but can’t seem to figure out how acrylates copolymer + water = glue? I’ve tried cold process, heating up materials before mixing, alot of stuff. is there Something I’m missing with my method? I’ve tried several different acrylates copolymers, and only one of them gave me some kind of adhesive action, but i have no idea why. Any advice? Thanks!!

I suspect the INCI you have been given is incomplete. A quick search on google led me to this site selling wig glues.
I had to giggle at the lay-language used especially for What is Acrylic? “Short Answer: a substance cooked up in labs.”
I can only suggest spending more time researching similar products.
