    Hello,
    This formula dries the hair too much. Am i doing something wrong?

    1 Water 54.20
    2 Disodium EDTA 0.10
    3 Polyquat 7 3
    4 Mythyl Paraben 0.20
    5 Alpha olefin sulfonate  30% 22.00 8.58
    6 CAP-B 10.00
    7 Cocamide DEA 1.00
    8 PEG 7 3.00
    9 Vit-E 0.10
    10 Fragrance 0.30
    11 Propyl Paraben 0.10
    12 Glycerin 3.00
    13 Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride 0.50
    14 Citric acid 1.50 Bring pH down <4
    15 Sodium chloride 1.00
    16 TEA qs Check/adjust pH to 5.3 - 5.8

    Sorry as not relevant to your question - parabens are not good preservatives for shampoos.

    How much active Alpha olefin sulfonate do you have in formula and how it the foaming of product? 

    I think this product should make your hair too oily. Not dry

    @abhiromeo Why do you think that shampoo is making your hair dry? I think it depends on your expectations. If yoy compare that formula to a silicone-based shampoo, of course you won’t fwel your hair too conditioned. What you lack is good emollients (PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate doesn’t rival the performance of common silicones).

    What preservatives should i use? Phenoxyethanol?

    I have used 22% AOS in the formula. Foaming is rich & excellent.

    Thanks for the feedback. What should i use instead of PEG-7?

    @abhiromeo Since you’re using deposition aids, yoi can try with emulsions of uncharged silicone (like Dimethinocol (and) TEA dodecylbenzenesulfonate).
