Need help formulating shampoo and conditioner
I’m creating two products primarily for Afro textured hair 3a-4c. One is a sulfate free shampoo and the other is a conditioner. Im not a huge fan of silicones or waxes as to not cause build up.
My shampoo comes out too thin. My conditioner doesn’t emulsify and the centrimonium chloride smell over powers.
I’m open to suggestions

Your assistant needs more training, hehe. I recommend you to check first how big brands formulate (check at their labels and patents), and then use databases like UL prospector where you might find formulas to help you know the adequate doses for each ingredient.

I don’t know much about sepimax as mine are natural products but I have a conditioning shampoo that I has these ingredients that lens to it’s thickness. It’s a thick cream but will come out a disc cap. polyquat 10 .5%, .5% guar silk, 14% SCI, 9% BTMS. It took me 6 months to perfect this. I have several versions of this. One for normal hair, dry hair and reverse hair loss and regrowth. I have a 73.7% water phase and a 14% oil phase. I use Irish moss to gel my water phase as well for stability.
