1. Is that 10% active SLES or 10% as-supplied?
Is it’s 10% active it’s ok, although 8% is a bit better IMO
if it’s 8% supplied at 70% that’s 7% active, a little low and may cause trouble thickening with salt.2. 3.5% salt is too much, That may well be the cause it’s very thin.
Begin adding salt in 0.25% increments until about the desired viscosity is achieved (it gets at bit thicker in 48-72 hours).3. What’s the foam booster composition?
4. I assume pearls conc is a pearlizer?
5% might be too much. Usually 3% works fine for most pearlizers.5. What’s the preservative composition?
6. 0.2% EDTA is a bit excessive. 0.1% is enough.

@Gunther Thanks for your respone ;
1. I think its active sles non 70% sles

4.yeah u’r right pearlizer,great advice i’ll try 3%

Well copy it. You could have found the formula with Google in 10 seconds like I did. But what the hell is coumarin doing in there? That is a potent liver toxin. And it says “with Egyptian Violet Lead and Elemi oil.” I don’t want to be using that! But what can you expect in Indonesia. They probably still use arsenic and mercury in makeup.
Basically it is a saponified soap product mixed with some surfactant. No thanks. -
@aab: You know, it would have been far, far better to explain from the very first post, why you wanted to make it, what product you wanted to emulate, and where you are. I’m sorry but we get so many posts, vague and undefined (there was even one asking how to make shampoo out of camel urine a while ago) that I have begun to develop a low tolerance, I’m afraid.
OK I will try to help. But there are others here who I am sure have designed similar products. I know about saponification and synthetic surfactants but I have never tried to combine them.
1. Lux used potassium hydroxide to make a water soluble soap. Your difficulty is going to be sourcing the correct fatty acids. KOH produces insoluble soap with some fatty acids and so you cannot use vegetable oils because you will end up with layers separating out over time. You must use the same ones Lux used.
2. When you have the correct acids, use soapcalc.net saponification calculator to give you the correct proportions and use 0% excess oil.
3. After making the liquid soap - the reaction is very fast, avoid clumping - it will be like a paste you will need to dissolve it - you will add the synthetic surfactant and you will need to experiment with that to find your preferred percentages and viscosity. Dissolve the fragrance in the surfactant before you add it to the soap.
Lux are using SLES and CAPB but also an emulsifier and you will need a preservative, I suggest you use parabens.
Perhaps others with more experience than I will chip in.
This is not a project for beginners, it may take you months to come up with a workable product. It is far easier to design synthetic body wash products.
@sibech: and the lead?
