    Hello.
I need advise about my emulsifying agent blends. Which formula is most suitable for for skin health, feeling, texture etc…

    Final pH adjusted to 5.8
Both formulas result with nice emulsion with light cream/lotion viscosity. Two of them looks like similar. And I can’t decide which emulsifying agent blend is good for my cream.

    Formula 1:
    INCI
    20% Sweet almond oil
    4.8% Glyceryl Stearate
    2% Cetearyl alcohol
    1.2% Sodium stearoyl lactylate
    2% Glycerine
    70% Water

    Formula 2:
    20% Sweet almond oil
    2% Glyceryl Stearate
    2% Cetearyl alcohol
    4% Sodium stearoyl lactylate
    2% Glycerine
    70% Water

These are formulas for only my experiments, because of it there is no preservative and other ingredients.
    Thank you.

I think the second formula should be more stable.
Both formulations are o/w. In the first formula you have added more w/o emulsifier (Glyceryl Stearate) than o/w emulsifier (Sodium stearoyl lactylate) which can destabilize the emulsion over time.
You should run the stability test anyway.

@em88 thank you for your reply. Yes you’re right first formula has more w/o emulsifier glyceryl stearate.

In fact I copied emulsifying wax with name Ritamulse/Ecomulse/Naturemulse/Emulsimulse.
    It’s INCI:
    60% Glyceryl stearate
    25% Cetearyl alcohol
    15% Sodium stearoyl lactylate

And this brands only for o/w emulsions. I don’t understand why they use that amount of Glyceryl stearate for o/w emulsifying wax?

    Thank you.
